A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton posted a story to her 83,800 followers declaring that she had “no idea” that a radio show in Jersey had used her voice in a contest. The property presenter, however, was overjoyed that a fan won £570 when she had correctly guessed her voice while taking part in the contest on Radio 103, and said it had “made” her day.

She reached out

Laura Hamilton

Laura Hamilton started the video by discussing how she had reopened her cafe/deli business Lord Roberts On The Green and was finding the move “trial and error”.

She continued: “Still lots of things we need to get right but all in all, it was a success. “

The TV host then addressed a message she had received from a follower called Linzi who had “reached out” on social media.

“I had a really lovely message this morning from a lady called Linzi,” she explained. “She reached out to let me know she had won 570 pounds on channel 103 which is a radio show in Jersey.”

  • A Place In The Sun presenter details backstage TV concerns

Laura revealed that Linzi had to guess a “mystery voice’ to win the prize money.

“What is really exciting is that the mystery voice is me. They actually used me on the radio station as the mystery voice and yeah Linzi won. So congratulations Linzi I had no idea,” she added.

During the lockdown, Laura has been working solidly on her side business Lord Roberts On The Green, which used to be a former post office.

The 38-year-old had purchased the building and opened a hotspot for residents to enjoy lunch and dinner.

However, since the relaunch, there have been “haters” who were not best pleased that Laura was attracting more traffic to the area.

Laura exclusively told “It was a falling-down Post Office shop, and then we renovated it and bought it back to the community but created something amazing.

“There’s money in the area, nice property in the area, but nowhere lovely to it. It was on a village green, but it’s been quite interesting because you’re always going to get haters, you can’t make everyone happy.

“It went from being a quiet village shop, but we turned it into a bustling place, which has brought more traffic to the area.

“It has increased interest, but there have been houses around the village green that have complained, my anger to that is that you don’t buy a property near to a school if you don’t want to deal with school traffic.”

Laura went on to advise residents not to “buy a property near a commercial business” if they were afraid of change or visitors.

Now that many pubs, bars, and restaurants have allowed customers to return, Laura divulged that many punters are “gagging” to get out.

She said: “We’ve got so many customers that are gagging to be able to get out and go to places, so I think we are putting measures in place to see how we control that.

“We’ve got the benefit of the green opposite so that people can sit there on the green, but on the flip side, you’re going to have hesitant people who aren’t going to want to go out. We will still be there for those people.”

Last weekend saw flocks of people swarm to London’s West End as streets became crowded with those desperate to enjoy a pint away from home.

The property expert admitted that she is “anticipating” her business will become “very busy” over the next few weeks.

Bill Turnbull, 64, debuted his latest venture last month, a new podcast where he speaks to fellow animal loving celebrities about their furry friends and how they’ve impacted their lives. Paws and Claws has allowed him to take his own trips down memory lane and in the latest episode, he recalled the first time he lost his beloved pet dog.

Even at 15 I cried myself to sleep that night because it was such a big deal

Bill Turnbull

In this specific edition, Bill was joined by radio presenter and dog lover Johnny Vaughan, who told him of the tales of his precious Ryder who had to be put down when he was eight-years-old and away at boarding school.

He recalled his mother had sent him a letter detailing the terrible news which left him heartbroken.

But Bill had a bone to pick: “At least she told you that, Johnny!”

The radio host admitted he’s “held it against” his mum ever since, but the BBC Breakfast stalwart had more to his own story.

  • Bill Turnbull addresses ex co-star ‘Must secretly be in love with you’

“My first dog lived until I was 15, which is amazing,” he said.

He continued to detail a time where he went to Germany for a couple of weeks when he was younger, to learn the language before taking his A-Levels.

But a shock was waiting for him when he arrived home.

“Got back [home], there’s no dog in the bed,” he remembered.

Johnny gave a sympathetic sigh because he knew what was coming next.

“There’s no dog in the bed, she didn’t tell me,” Bill explained his mum’s choice to keep the news from him so as to spare his feelings.

“And the worst thing was, I didn’t ask her!”

His guest seemed a little stumped by what appeared to be a lack of enthusiasm for his pet, until Bill’s next emotional admission.

He continued: “I just noticed the dog was gone and that was it.

“I think I missed the dog probably more than anyone or anything else!”

Fans are wondering why Howard Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) mum was killed off, and has everything you need to know.

Fans never got to see Howard’s mum on screen but she still played an important role in the series and became a popular character.

However Mrs Wolowitz (voiced by Carol Ann Susi) was killed off in season eight, and fans were sad to see her leave.

She had an iconic voice and was often at the receiving end of many of the jokes.

Mrs Wolowitz was written out of the series after season eight following Susi’s death.

The actress died in November 2014 at the age of 62 – following a battle with cancer.

  • Big Bang Theory cast: Who did Creagen Dow play in The Big Bang Theory?

The star was first introduced to the series in season one when the gang picks up Howard from his house.

Howard decides to bring his new girlfriend home and she ends up clashing with Mrs Wolowitz.

Howard lived with his mother for the majority of the series but fans only got to hear her voice.

Howard’s friends used to make fun of his mum’s iconic voice, even his wife Bernadette (Melissa Rauch).

In the season eight episode called The Comic Book Regeneration, Howard receives a call to say his mother had died.

Debbie Wolowitz had been staying with her sister Gladys in Florida when she died in her sleep.

Viewers and characters alike were shocked at the news, as she did not have any major health issues in the series.

The cast decided to let Susi’s character come to an end after the veteran actress died.

Her death came five days after her final voice appearance in the season eight episode called The Prom Equivalency.

Despite the fact she was never seen in the series, it is one of her most famous roles.

Into the Night season 2 Netflix release date: Will there be another series?

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Into the Night is a dystopian thriller series on Netflix and fans are still wondering whether the survivors have had a breakthrough. The Belgian sci-fi series is based on the novel The Old Axolotl by Jacek Dukaj and it is set during an apocalyptic time. Here is everything we know so far about Into the Night season 2.

Netflix aired its first-ever Belgian series earlier in May and the debut series went down a hit with fans across the world.

The series follows a group of passengers who are hijacked while on board a plane from Brussels and the group hopes to survive a catastrophic solar event.

Living organisms are killed during daylight hours only as a result of this phenomenon, and the passengers must fly west to survive.

In September 2019 it was announced a six-part season was to air, and an official trailer for the new series dropped in April 2020.

  • Lucifer season 6 cast: Which cast members will return?

Will there be another series of Into the Night?

Netflix has now given Into the Night the go-ahead for a second season, and it has already released a teaser clip.

Jason George, creator of the series, said: “We’ve been thrilled by the global response to Into the Night, and I’m excited to share that we’ll be doing a second season.”

The first season only lightly touches on the novel it is based on, meaning there is plenty more material to use in a second series.

The debut series made it into the Netflix Top 10, which is a good sign for fans.

A new series is likely to cover the new way survivors have found in order to walk in the sunlight without being affected.

Fans will probably have to wait until June or even July before they hear news of whether this new plot is possible.

The series features Pauline Etienne as Sylvie Bridgette Dubois, a former pilot for the military who ends up in a bunker with other survivors.

She is likely to return in a new series alongside Jan Bijvoet as security guard Richard “Rik” Mertens and Mehmet Kurtulus as Ayaz Kobanbay, a Turkish man who is described as “mysterious”.

At the end of the first series Rick makes up with Ayaz after he was left at the NATO headquarters, and Sylvie is told of a solution to the catastrophe.

Fans have been keen to share their thoughts on the new series on Twitter, with one fan saying: “Into the Night is the craziest series I’ve watched on Netflix.”

Another viewer said: “Very much in need of talking to anyone else who is watching the apocalyptic Belgian lunacy that is Into the Night on Netflix.”

Fans of dystopian shows or end-of-the-world type series are likely to include this in their top 10.

The international series has been described as a must-watch and it has been compared to other Netflix hits like The Platform and Money Heist.

Netflix’s official trailer shows airport passengers being held at gunpoint by Terenzio Matteo Gallo (Stéfano Cassetti) who says “the sunrise will kill us all” if they do not listen to him.

  • Lucifer plot hole: Major mistake with Chloe’s police work

He tells them they must keep flying west and they must avoid sunrise, as it causes humans to drop dead without warning.

Once the plane has made its landing, the passengers must find ways to keep out of the light and the phrase “into the night” is used for the first time.

Fans are waiting to find out whether Sylvie is reunited with the rest of the group, having found an escape or solution.

The burning question of what is causing this destruction to happen is still unanswered, and viewers are excited to see more thrilling episodes.

One fan said on Twitter: “So if Netflix could renew Into the Night for season 2 that’d be great. The first foreign show with English dubbing that I’ve actually enjoyed.”
