Kim Kardashian ‘headmistress’ parenting style means the kids NEVER get dirty & have scheduled ‘cuddle time' to suit her

HER mum is famously coined the family ‘Momager’ but when it comes to parenting, Kim Kardashian seems to have taken a page out of Kris Jenner’s book too.

She’s ‘headmistress’ strict, there’s tight rules and there’s even a ‘manual’ for the fleet of nannies who help them on a 24-hour basis.

But the rules aren’t just for the kids.

A source close to the mum-of-four has revealed their team of SIX nannies have to agree to a long list of dos and don’ts before they join the household and rarely are allowed to even talk to Kanye.

But what is day-to-day life really like for North, seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two and one-year-old Psalm? Fabulous investigated…

Kim’s ‘headmistress’ parenting style

We’ve heard of ‘tiger mums’ but when in comes to the Kimye household, Kim is said to be more like a ‘headmistress’ always referring to the rules, the schedule and the expectations of her nannies and kids

“She runs a very 'tight ship',” our source says, “with no deviations, no exceptions to the rules and often at the expense of fun.

“For her, it's all about instilling the right values in her kids, their development, always focused on their futures, their 'brands', their talents, but little time to actually play with them or enjoy them.”

But would she get her hands dirty to make sure these rules are working? No!

“She hires 'the best' people to play with them, and while she loves them dearly, they know that 'mummy has to work' and 'mummy can't be interrupted' ever.

“Kim loves her kids, of course and she also loves creating the 'perfect' moments. When she spends time with them it involves taking lots of selfies or they have “cuddle time”.

“She makes sure she has 15-minutes one-on-one time with each kid per day but even that is scheduled and has to fit around her diary and phone calls.”

Speaking about spending more time with her brood during the coronavirus lockdown Kim said: “Being at home with four kids – if I ever thought for a minute that I wanted another one, that is out the door. It's really tough. It's really tough."

A nanny for every need

We all know Kim, 39, and Kanye, 43, are busy trying to maintain their billionaire couple status, but with a joint net worth of £1.6 billion comes the luxury of having someone to sort out all your needs.

According to our insider, Kim and Kanye employ a 'fleet' of nannies to look after their kids, with a variety of responsibilities and titles.

“On a daily basis there are four nannies (from a team of 6), along with the various tutors, chef, housekeeper and driver to attend the kids needs,” they say.

“There is the head nanny, who manages everything and all the other kiddie staff, like the language tutors, the music staff, the stylist, the personal trainer and runs the diaries of each of the four kids.

“But she is the only one allowed to communicate with Kanye,” the insider adds.

Kim makes sure she has 15-minutes one-on-one time with each kid per day but even that is scheduled and has to fit around her diary and phone calls.

“Kim tends to look after all the children’s ‘staff’ so he hates when the nannies talk to him. He demands that the info on the kids only comes from Kim or the head nanny.”

On a 24-hour-basis Kim and Kanye’s kids always have two nannies in the house to help them out day or night.

But while the kids are learning new rules, the nannies have strict guidelines to follow too.

“No nanny is allowed a mobile phone when they’re working – it's a fireable offence to be caught with one,” our source said.

“There is also a manual, a very thick one, for the nannies about Kim's rules, and how they treat and interact with the kids. And with Kim and Kanye. It's a little OTT.

“Everyday is planned from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to sleep.”

The picture perfect ‘rules’

While all the Kardashian’s are now mums apart from Kendall, Kim is without doubt the strictest parent, our insider says.

“All the sisters are high maintenance when it comes to the kids and what's allowed and what's not, but it's Kim who is the strictest – mainly because of the influence of Kanye.”

“Kim has a very ridiculous set of rules about what's allowed, what's not, how the kids are to behave, to eat, what they’re allowed to wear, to do… it's regimented down to every detail.”

But this tight ship doesn’t mean Kim and Kanye’s approach to parenting is faultless.

“Yes, the rules are written down in black and white but saying that, her kids are not very well behaved they tend to act up a lot,” our source adds.

“Kim is ridiculously strict over their clothes – and how they are not to get them dirty, or for any of the kids to get dirty – so they get told off for dirtying their clothes or messy eating, even Chicago and she’s only two!

“Essentially she wants the kids to look perfect and picture ready every moment of the day – insists that it's good for the children to learn early.

“Also, the children are never allowed to interrupt mummy or daddy if they are talking, be that in real life or on the phone.

“Bad manners will not be tolerated by Kim and Kanye, especially in public. North and Saint are expected to eat as an adult at a restaurant. For them it's all about public image.”

‘Time out’ for tantrums

When it comes to discipling, Kanye believes in a ‘firm’ approach according to our insider so that dictates Kim's approach too.

While they don’t have a ‘naughty step’ like many UK households, the kids are handed back to nannies for a 'time out' if they act up or have a tantrum.

“Their favourite possessions are taken away and put under lock and key until they behave again,” our insider says.

“The two younger ones are different still but Kim and Kanye are obsessed with raising 'genius, perfect kids' who speak multiple languages, play multiple instruments, do all sorts of extra curricular.”

One thing that seems to have changed in the amount of screen time they’re allowed.

While our insider says they used to be very strict with TV time, that has become more of a family treat since dealing with lockdown.

Speaking about it Kim said, “We've watched every single movie you could possibly imagine [in lockdown].

"I've been showing the kids all these '80s movies like Harry And The Hendersons and stuff that they wouldn't have watched and it's so much fun!”

Kim Kardashian West Revealed Her Biggest Regret About Dating Kanye West

Kim Kardashian West began dating her now-husband, Kanye West, shortly after she ended her marriage with former NBA star Kris Humphries. Kardashian and West had known each other for years, but nothing romantic happened as Kardashian was often involved with other people. These days, the two are happily married, but she does have one regret about dating him.

Kim Kardashian West met Kanye West in the early 2000s

Kim and Kanye met years before they actually startingdating. Back in the early 2000s, Kardashian was good friends with pop singerBrandy, and she happened to be spending some time with Brandy while the singerrecorded a song with West.

That was the couple’s first introduction, and though it didn’t mean love at first sight, they always kept up a friendship. West even made a guest appearance on Kourtney and Kim Take New York back in 2010 when the sisters were getting ready to open their Dash New York City location.

The two started dating shortly after she split from Kris Humphries

Kardashian and West kept in touch for years, but she wasalways involved with other people. Upon their first introduction, Kardashianwas stillmarried to Damon Thomas. She eventually entered a high-profile relationshipwith NFL player Reggie Bush, and when things didn’t work out, she started datingMiles Austin. Though she spent time with other people in between, sheeventually met Kris Humphries in 2010, and the two wed in 2011.

The marriage became one of the celeb world’s most infamous when the couple announced their separation after only 72 days. And shortly after the split, Kardashian and West realized there was some serious chemistry between them.

Kardashian regrets not dating West sooner

The two started dating before Kardashian’s divorce with Humphries was finalized. Less than a year later, they learned they were pregnant with their first child, North, who was born in 2013. The two tied the knot in 2014 in a lavish Italian ceremony, and Kardashian has since said that her only regret about dating West is not dating him sooner.

According to Mirror, Kardashian once revealed in a 2015 interview that she wishes she’d started dating her husband long before the drama from the other relationships came along. “My only regret is that I didn’t give it a shot sooner,” Kardashian said. “It would have saved so much BS. I feel like I got the fairytale. I should have had even higher expectations, because I got the fairytale.”

The couple once said they want seven kids

Kim and Kanye currently share four little kids, though they might not stop at four. They’ve has mentioned having as many as seven kids in the past. Kardashian’s pregnancy issues have caused her to use a surrogate for her last two pregnancies. Kardashian also revealed during the coronavirus lockdown that she no longer wanted any more kids after spending so much time entertaining them during quarantine. Still, it wouldn’t surprise us if the two do expand their family, since they’ve been so adamant about having many children.

Kim Kardashian West Is Still Proving Her Kanye West Soulmate Theory

When it comes to celebrity couples, Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, pretty much top the charts for the most notorious. Known informally as Kimye, Kim and Kanye have been married since 2014 and share four beautiful children together: North West (seven), Saint West (four), Chicago West (two), and Psalm West (one).

Though Kim and Kanye are not the most obvious of couples, they seem to be making things work. Kanye has been candid about the fact that he had his eyes on Kim long before she was willing to give him a chance. Kim, however, seemed to take a little more convincing. But, in past interviews, she has shared the turning point of when she knew Kanye was the one. Funnily enough, it had everything to do with sleeping patterns.

How Kim Kardashian West knew Kanye West was her soulmate

“I sleep with the heat on… 80 degrees and socks and a robe, every single night,” the 39-year-old said. ‘The first night I slept at Kanye’s house… I won’t say the date because I’ll get in trouble, but years and years ago, he slept with the heat on and socks, and I was like, ‘OMG, I met my soulmate,” Kim shared at the Create & Cultivate women’s conference back in 2018.

Though Kim may have been joking when it came to that being the exact moment when she knew Kanye was the one for her, she’s serious about always being warm and cozy. Perhaps that’s why she created an entire cozy collection for her brand, skims. Furthermore, Kim is always sharing that she and her husband love to be kept warm. In fact, a recent Instagram post proves that this is, in fact, the case.

The couple traveled to Wyoming with their kids

Recently, the West family (and a few of their friends) traveled to Wyoming to celebrate North’s seventh birthday. In true Kardashian form, they made sure that there were plenty of photo opportunities. The photos show the celebrities in various Western-inspired outfits. But, what stood out to fans was what Kim and Kanye were wearing.

In all the photos the couple sports long sleeves. In fact, they are both even wearing heavy leather jackets in some photos. As Summer is well underway, temperatures in Wyoming range from the mid-70s to the high-80s. Fans were baffled as to how Kim and Kanye weren’t melting in their leather jackets.

Fans can get over the billionaires’ attire

“I am now confused on what season we are in. Lol The looks are 🔥, but it’s HOT!!!!!” one fan wrote in the comments of Kim’s Instagram post. “That’s exactly what I thought I’m like oh my gosh isn’t a summer they must be roasting those heavy leather coats,” another person chimed in, responding to Kimye’s photos.

Clearly, Kim wasn’t kidding around about her and Kanye always bundling up for warmth. As they’ve been together for quite some time now, her soulmate theory seems to be holding up.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Wedding: Why Were Guests' Cell Phones Banned From the Ceremony?

Unlike Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are very open and candid when it comes to their personal lives. For years, the couple hasn’t shied away from taking cameras into their life together, showcasing everything from their fairytale proposal to the birth of their children.

But one event the couple didn’t share with the public was their 2014 Italian wedding, which was so private that they banned cameras of all kinds from coming inside their lavish ceremony.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding was a star-studded event

On Kardashian’s 33rd birthday, West popped the question to her during an over-the-top, rom-com-worthy proposal that cost him a whopping $3.3 million to pull off.

The rapper rented out San Francisco’s AT&T Park and brought out a blindfolded Kardashian onto the baseball field where a 50-piece orchestra played her favorite Lana Del Rey song.

Once he got her to the middle of the field, the rapper got down on one knee as a personalized message on the scoreboard flashed “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!”

West then presented the reality star with an eye-popping 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring, and she, of course, said yes.

On May 24, 2014, the couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony at the historical Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, where they conceived their oldest daughter, North.

The couple was joined by those closest to them, including many A-list celebrities and the Kar-Jenner clan. But shockingly, the ceremony was sans a reality show camera crew.

Before her big day, Kardashian revealed on Twitter that she and West didn’t want any cameras at their wedding, noting that the event would not be featured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“We are not filming our wedding for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. You will see everything leading up til and after!” she shared with her followers.

Kardashian added, “As much as we would love to share these memories, privacy is our main priority.”

As expected, scenes from Kimye’s wedding didn’t appear on KUWTK, but Kardashian has shared a few behind-the-scenes snaps from her special day here and there.

Kimye made their guest sign non-disclosure agreements

Everyone knows that the Kardashian-Jenners live and breathe their phones, so you can just imagine our surprise when sources revealed that Kardashian and West’s star-studded wedding was a no-phone zone.

To keep their nuptials as private as possible, Kardashian and West requested that their guests refrain from using their cell phones to ensure no photos or videos from their big day were leaked to the press.

But that’s not all.

According to RadarOnline, the couple also had attendees sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep the details of their wedding under wraps.

Talk about taking extra precautions.

Being married to Kanye West has made Kim Kardashian West “more private”

Following their wedding, Kardashian West began to embrace a more private lifestyle.

Though she still showcases her personal and professional doings on KUWTK and social media, the KKW Beauty mogul revealed in 2018 that being married to West has changed her view on privacy.

“We would get our hair and makeup done after we filmed the show. Then it was like…’ what is the hottest restaurant in Hollywood? Where can I go? Where can I be seen? Who is there? What are they doing? Who is there?” the reality star said while appearing on an episode of The Alec Baldwin Show, according to the Daily Mail.

“Everything had to be public for me back then,” she added.

After tying the knot with the rapper, who is “very private” when he’s not working, Kardashian found herself not sharing every detail about her life with the public — something she didn’t think would ever happen.

“Now it’s, where can I go on vacation where nobody will see us? All I want is privacy,” she said. “I never thought that I would be at that point.”

Kim Jong-un dead rumours quashed as North Korean tyrant finally shows up ending mystery month-long vanishing act

KIM Jong-un’s death rumours appear to have been quashed – again – after the North Korean tyrant slammed officials for complacency over the coronavirus.

Purportedly ending his mystery month-long vanishing act, the secretive Communist popped up in a state media report to declare the "malignant virus" has been beaten.

Oddly, however, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has released a photo supposedly showing the leader attending a ruling party meeting on Thursday – which is similar to an image it issued a month ago, when he was reportedly last seen in public.

Today's official pics show the Supreme Leader wearing the same white suit, addressing a roomful of people while gesticulating and clutching his hands in front of party flags.

The images reflect KCNA's statement that Jong-un sharply criticised inattentiveness among officials, telling them they needed to up their game to keep Covid-19 at bay.

He apparently also alluded to violations of emergency anti-virus rules and warned that a hasty relief of anti-epidemic measures would result in unimaginable and irretrievable crisis.

The North's official Rodong Sinmun newspaper published several photos purportedly of Jong-un at the meeting, which were the first state media images of him in weeks.

Neither he nor the ruling party bureaucrats who participated were wearing masks – as was the case in the last official pic, snapped a month ago.

News agency Reuters – which supplied pics of Jong-un at this week's politburo meeting of the ruling Workers Party – cautioned that "independent journalists were not given access to cover the event depicted in this image distributed by the North Korean government".

There's been mystery over Jong-un's recent whereabouts during the coronavirus pandemic, with experts suggesting he has been in isolation to avoid contracting the killer bug.

Some have also assumed that the 36-year-old is hiding a serious illness.

Japan, for example, has revealed it has “some suspicions” about the health of the periodically missing dictator.

Reports first claimed he had died or was gravely ill after he failed to attend celebrations marking the birth of his grandfather and North Korea's, Kim Il-Sung, on April 15.

He was believed at the time to have undergone a botched heart operation after collapsing while on a walk.

After an absence lasting 20 days, he turned up on May 1 at a newly-constructed fertiliser plant before again disappearing from public.

NK News, a news service specialising on North Korea, said today it was the first appearance to include possible photo evidence of him since June 8.

The website added that the tyrant has made just seven appearances from April to June this year, down from his average of 46 for the same period since taking power at the end of 2011.

According to North Korea's official 'news' agency, KCNA, “the Supreme Leader made sharp criticism of inattention, onlooking and chronic attitude getting prevalent among officials.

“He repeatedly warned that hasty relief of anti-epidemic measures will result in unimaginable and irretrievable crisis.”

Despite the warning, he reaffirmed North Korea's claim to not have had a single case of Covid-19.

He told the ruling party meeting that the country has completely prevented the inroad of the malignant virus despite the worldwide health pandemic that has killed more than 524,000 people.

The leader said: “We have thoroughly prevented the inroad of the malignant virus and maintained a stable anti-epidemic situation despite the worldwide health crisis, which is a shining success achieved."

However, NK News points out that his statement is unlikely to be based on reality.

It quotes a World Health Organisation (WHO) official saying that North Korea has "now tested just 922 people for Covid-19, suggesting only 200 have been tested for the virus since April".

The figures were provided in an email by WHO Representative to the DPRK Edwin Salvador.

Salvador said that 443 people have been quarantined since May 7.

“As per the update received on 19 June, 922 people have been tested for Covid-19 and all tested negative,” he added.

Tuesday’s update means the total number of those released from quarantine in North Korea stands at 25,551, according to the WHO official.

Salvador added: “All suspected cases (mild, moderate, or severe) are quarantined in the designated county or provincial hospitals for management and there is no home quarantine for suspected mild cases."

KCNA's official statement on Jong-un's politburo meeting made no mention of the rift with its southern neighbour.

North Korea blew up an inter-Korean liaison office building just north of the heavily armed border with South Korea in mid-June.

The explosion was a carefully choreographed display of anger to put pressure on Washington and Seoul amid deadlocked nuclear diplomacy.

The North sent troops to its demilitarised border areas while the South mobilised air defence weapons.

Around the same time, a large tremor was registered on North Korea's border with China sparking concerns of a fresh nuclear weapons test by Jong-un's military.

Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian Slammed For Not Being More Vocal About Black Lives Matter

Kylie Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family have long been complex when it comes to race issues. As a whole, the family has been accused of appropriating Black culture in order to increase their own visibility and popularity.

These criticisms have primarily focused on two elements: the way the sisters alter their own appearance (through things like hairstyles and photo editing) to appear Black themselves and the way that the sisters have seemed to seek out famous Black men to date — especially rappers and athletes.

Now that civil unrest over long-standing racial tensions between the police and Black activists has come to a national boiling point, fans are turning their attention to the way celebrities are responding. Many are not happy with Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian because it seems that they aren’t speaking up in support of Black Lives Matter as much as their fans would like.

The Kardashian-Jenner sisters have complex relationships to race

The criticisms surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and their treatment of race are long standing. In a 2014 opinion piece for The Washington Post, Sally Kohn wrote that that the Kardashian’s behavior was “actively exploiting and reinforcing racial and gender biases.”

Kohn points to Kim Kardashian’s famous cover shoot for Paper and how the pose very closely mimicked a 1976 portrait of Carolina Beaumont that was shot by the same photographer and used as part of a work titled “Jungle Fever.” Ultimately, Kohn accuses Kardashian of “exploiting the fetishization of women of color to line her own pocket.”

This is similar to the criticisms that Kourtney Kardashian has faced when it comes to promoting her brand Poosh. Kourtney Kardashian posted a photograph of protesters with comments about how she was committed to teaching her own children to do better when it comes to race. However, many saw her discussion of her own brand within the post as exploitative.

They accused her of using the movement to promote herself rather than actually promote change in the culture at large.

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have biracial children

RELATED: Kylie Jenner Fans Wonder ‘WTF She’s Talking About’ After She Shares Plans to Lose Weight

As fans have looked to celebrities to take a stand about the issue of police brutality, many have pointed out that they expect more from Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner in particular because of their closeness to the issue. Both women have biracial children who could be victims of these racist biases themselves.

In a Twitter comment thread, many were quick to point out that the sisters are happy to adopt visual markers of Black culture but not to get involved in the fight for Black rights.

One wrote, “they’re more than happy to get fake tans and lip injections, but when it’s time to speak up and support the race they’ve been trying so hard to mimic… [it’s] crickets.”

Others pointed out that they may believe their wealth excepted them from the brutality: “They are rich. They don’t care that their children are Black presenting, past the aesthetics, they think them being rich will protect them from abuses.”

Fans would like to see more from Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner

Fans would like to see a more vocal outcry of support for the Black Lives Matter movement from Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. Kardashian, in particular, has specific ties to social justice causes.

She is currently working on a law degree as part of a professional shift toward activism. She has used this new cause to launch The Justice Project, a reality TV series that examines biases in the criminal justice system and works to free those who have been victims of these prejudices.

Fans are definitely expressing their frustration that women with such cultural influence, personal ties to the Black community, and claims of social justice interests aren’t working harder during this moment of change to voice their support.

People Are Calling Out Kim Kardashian West for Her Post About North West's Friesian Horse

Kim Kardashian West is facing backlash from people on social media yet again. On Twitter, Kardashian West posted a photo of her daughter North West with a Friesian horse. The tweet drew criticism for a number of reasons.

Some called out Kardashian West for flaunting her wealth during a pandemic, while others criticized the reality star for not having an age-appropriate horse for her daughter. Social media users also made fun of Kardashian West for misspelling Friesian as “Freesian.”

Kim Kardashian West posted photos of the horse on Twitter

On June 29, Kardashian West posted two photos of a Friesian horse on her Twitter account. In one of the photos, North is standing beside the horse wearing Ugg boots, shorts, and a riding helmet.

“Meet North’s Freesian horse. We have 14 gorgeous Freesians on the ranch,” she tweeted.

The criticism against Kardashian West was swift, and several people responded to the tweet with the correct spelling of Friesian.

RELATED: Kim Kardashian West Reveals North ‘Begs’ Her to Change Her Job: ‘It’s Not Fair’

“Can someone teach Mrs. Kardashian-West that it’s FRIESIAN not FREESIAN… If you’re going to brag at least google it first,” one Twitter user wrote.

Critics also pointed out North West’s riding attire

Kardashian West’s spelling is not the only thing people criticized on Twitter. Those familiar with horseback riding called out the businesswoman for possibly letting her daughter ride a horse without the proper attire, which is a safety concern.

“Teach your kid not to ride in UGGs. Or shorts. It’s extremely unsafe. But then again this is probably just a photo op. At least she has a helmet on. Sincerely, someone who rides their horses,” wrote a Twitter user.

Friesians were originally bred as draft horses to be used as carthorses or for farm work until they were later used to be ridden under saddle. While graceful, Friesians are still large animals and some found this to be another safety issue.

“I’m still processing North West getting a Friesian draft horse. She’s what 7 or so? A little girl should be on a pony that matches her physical size and skill level, and that family could afford the priciest little hunter pony. Make it make sense,” a Twitter user wrote.

Kardashian West did not post a photo of her daughter riding the Friesian. Instead, she posted photos from North’s seventh birthday party on Instagram that showed her daughter riding a different horse.

Some found Kim Kardashian West’s post to be tone-deaf

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, millions of people are facing unemployment. Because of this, some found Kardashian West’s posts about owning multiple expensive horses to be insensitive given the times.

“Kim Kardashian really looked at everything that’s going on right now and said ‘d*mn that sucks…..anyway this is our $30K horse & guess what? we have 14 more also this is our ranch which includes a go kart track BILLIONAIRE TINGZ,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Love to see young people pull themselves up by their bootstraps and earn their very own Freesian horse,” joked a Twitter user.

SARAH VINE: Why Kim Kardashian's $1 billion has killed feminism

SARAH VINE: Why Kim Kardashian’s $1 billion has killed feminism

That’s it then. Kim Kardashian has achieved billionaire status, and feminism — or at least my version of it — is officially dead.

She has sold a fifth of her cosmetics brand, KKW, to beauty giant Coty for $200 million (£162 million) — a deal that has propelled her into the financial stratosphere.

As the mother of a teenage daughter, to see Kardashian — a woman who has done very little apart from debase herself in the name of profit — rewarded in this way just fills me with sadness.

That’s it then. Kim Kardashian has achieved billionaire status, and feminism — or at least my version of it — is officially dead, writes SARAH VINE

She has sold a fifth of her cosmetics brand, KKW, to beauty giant Coty for $200 million (£162 million) — a deal that has propelled her into the financial stratosphere

I grew up in a time when girls were encouraged to think of themselves as something more than mere objects of desire.

For me, as an awkward, bespectacled girl with a less than perfect shape, this represented a kind of hope.

A sense that, whatever my physical drawbacks, such things were not the only measure by which a woman could achieve success.

Being beautiful wasn’t the only passport to fame and fortune — with hard work and application, any girl might achieve through wit and intelligence.

Even those of my girlfriends who were gifted with looks strove to pursue purpose in their lives, becoming lawyers, teachers, journalists, doctors.

That, to my generation, was what feminism represented: not a rejection of femininity per se, but an acknowledgement that we were capable of so much more than being mere arm candy.

Kardashian has changed all that.

Since she came on the scene back in 2007, following the release of a sex tape featuring her and her then boyfriend, the rapper Ray J, she has built her brand — shamelessly and, brazenly — on the diminution of that notion.

She is living, pouting, leather-clad proof that in this modern, image-obsessed world what really brings in the big bucks is not hard work, a university degree and a fulfilling career, but a big butt — and a willingness to sell it to the highest bidder.

As the mother of a teenage daughter, to see Kardashian — a woman who has done very little apart from debase herself in the name of profit — rewarded in this way just fills me with sadness

No doubt some would say that she is canny and smart enough to have worked out how to turn her high profile into a vast sum of money.

But I’m not sure that’s enough to earn our admiration.

In fact, what really gets my goat are those who claim that she is, in her own way, a feminist icon. No. Malala is a feminist icon.

Margaret Thatcher is a feminist icon.

Even Madonna, in her own slightly nutty way, is a feminist icon.

Kardashian is just what happens when you combine vacuousness with extreme vanity, and remove all boundaries of common decency.

No doubt her fans will accuse me of being a ‘hater’.

But I don’t hate her — how could I when I’ve never met her? But I do hate what she stands for: the paucity of aspiration and old-fashioned sexism she represents.

Aspiration is not, of course, the same as ambition — something Kardashian is by no means short of. Aspiration is what drives young girls to become the scientists, historians, writers and politicians of tomorrow.

I grew up in a time when girls were encouraged to think of themselves as something more than mere objects of desire. Kardashian has changed all that

Ambition just says I’ll just take my clothes off, make a sex tape, marry a rich man . . . and then feed society’s seemingly endless appetite for drooling voyeurism.

Because Kim Kardashian is not like other risqué superstars such as Beyonce or Lady Gaga, whose audacity and jaw-dropping appearance are merely a side show for their talent.

Kardashian has no talent other than self-promotion, the ability to put make-up on — and take clothes off.

Of course, there are plenty like her.

But none has achieved such a level of success. And it’s that which makes her such a toxic influence and the very worst of role models.

And she makes our jobs as mothers so much harder.

The lure of quick internet fame is the curse of our modern age, and she — along with the rest of her exhibitionist family — personifies it.

That is the lesson her success teaches the next generation of impressionable young girls.

And now she’s got her billion in the bank, who am I to argue?

It’s Blair the Marlboro man

Forget Tony Blair’s domestic misdemeanours (he gave an interview at the weekend in which he confessed to not having done a single stroke of housework since he became Prime Minister back in 1997).

What I want to know is where on earth he got the idea for that absurd gold necklace he was wearing around his neck.

He was even wearing a Burt Reynolds-style open shirt.

Who does he think he is: The Marlboro Man of international relations?

Tough, ruggedly handsome, bit restless being pinned down, salt of the earth, hard-working in his jeans and man chain and undone shirt.

Oh do spare us.

Where on earth did Tony Blair get the idea for that absurd gold necklace he was wearing around his neck. He was even wearing a Burt Reynolds-style open shirt

There is a bitter irony in the fact that someone as vapid as Kim Kardashian has armies of adoring fans on social media, while a woman as brilliantly talented as Jodie Comer (pictured) is subjected to so much online abuse that she says she feels the need to step back completely.

But perhaps that’s a good thing: if all the clever and interesting people forsake social media for a better life in the real world, the disproportionate influence that the likes of Twitter, Facebook and TikTok have on our lives will wither and die.

Perhaps then the world may once again become a semi-civilised place. Unlikely, of course. But we can dream.

I yield to no one in my admiration for the Duchess of Cambridge. She has been an absolute star throughout this whole crisis.

But I must admit I had a slight ‘Eek!’ moment when I saw the pictures of her helping to plant a garden at a children’s hospice.

That’s Diana’s world-famous sapphire engagement ring on her left finger, all 12 carats of it (plus diamonds), covered in muck!

I mean, I’m all for the royals getting their hands dirty — but some things just aren’t destined to be down-to-earth.

I’m on team Nigella

I’ve been doing quite a lot of reading in lockdown, books old and new, and one of the classics I’ve recently revisited is Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s 100 Years Of Solitude.

Today marks the 100th day of lockdown — and Marquez’s title might well describe the nature of the experience for many, in particular the elderly or those obliged to shield.

For some it’s been agony; others — such as Nigella Lawson — have embraced it.

So much so, in fact, that the celebrated TV chef has declared she’s embarking on a new 5:2 social diet: two days on, five days alone.

By my standards, that’s a positive social whirl.

Doctors have issued dire warnings about the danger of people getting over-excited when the pubs re-open on ‘Super Saturday’.

Ordinarily, I’d be on their side — but after months of lockdown, I’m desperate for any sense of normality.

And what better sign that Britain is getting back to normal could there be than a load of Saturday-night drunks clogging up A&E.

In response to Boris Johnson’s press-ups at the weekend, Labour leader Keir Starmer has challenged the Prime Minister to race to 50 at the despatch box — and even Tory MP Mark Francois has joined in, claiming he does his every day.

All very laudable, I’m sure — but I can’t help thinking there’s something a bit Putinesque about this desire of male politicians to prove their physical prowess.

What next, Matt Hancock bare-chested on a horse?

Talk of a tax on online shopping is not without merit — after all, the extra pollution and congestion caused by delivery vans is not insignificant.

But consumers shouldn’t be the ones to bear the cost.

Instead, that should fall to the online companies such as Amazon, whose fortunes have increased exponentially in lockdown — and whose bosses, such as Jeff Bezos, remain resolutely shy about paying their dues.

Weddings are meant to be joyous occasions. So why anyone would bother under the grim new guidelines is anyone’s guess.

No food, drink or singing; no father walking the bride down the aisle; and, most baffling of all, the washing of hands before and after exchanging rings.

The whole point of a wedding is to celebrate the union of two people, body and soul. If they’re not allowed to touch without being anointed with hand sanitiser, surely it negates the whole purpose?

And don’t even get me started on the wedding night . . .

Justin Welby is not having a good war. Instead of trying to calm the absurd culture wars threatening our history, he promises a ‘review’ of statues in Anglican churches.

At a time when he, above all others, should be striving to unite the nation, he seems instead to be doing everything in his power to foster division.

Kanye West Gives Kim Kardashian West an Unusual Gift In Celebration of Her New Billionaire Status

Have you heard? Kim Kardashian West is officially a billionaire.

The news was announced on June 29, shocking those who have been watching her hustle since 2007 and triggering a wave of celebratory reactions on social media.

Her husband, Kanye West, was among those who acknowledged the milestone, tweeting a photo of a gift he gave the reality star in honor of her reaching the billionaire mark. But while it’s a pretty sweet gesture, it’s certainly not something you see every day.

Kanye West’s gift to Kim Kardashian for becoming a billionaire

The “Jesus Is King” rapper made Kardashian a still life using flowers and vegetables. For those who are unfamiliar, a still life is a work of art where inanimate objects, usually everyday items, are presented in a certain way (via liveaboutdotcom).

Tweeting a photo of his arrangement, West also posted a note congratulating his wife on the milestone. He wrote, “I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire. You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life/So I made you this still life. We love you so much.”

Fans initially didn’t understand the image

At first glance, the image confused a lot of fans. One person called it tacky while another person wondered, “bro why are u showin us ur produce?” But once they learned that it was an art piece and not just some random photo, a lot of them said in the comments that they thought it was cute. The post has since earned over 20,000 retweets and 100,000 likes.

The post comes as the Wests continue to vacation in Wyoming. Us Weekly reports that they have been staying in the $14 million ranch they purchased in 2019, “doing family activities like swimming, etc.”

The couple was briefly joined by some of their family members, including Kylie Jenner and Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, but it appears that they have since returned to California.

How Kim Kardashian West became a billionaire

Kardashian West solidified her billionaire status after landing a deal with Coty Inc. to sell a 20 percent stake of her cosmetics line, KKW Beauty, for $200 million. This means her brand is valued at $1 billion.

Speaking about the deal, sources told TMZ that it is a “longterm strategic partnership to launch products in new beauty categories and expand across the globe from top to bottom” and that Coty would produce “skin, hair, personal and nail products” for the brand. The deal will reportedly be finalized in the third quarter of 2021.

Kardashian West shared a statement with Harper’s Bazaar in which she briefly talked about the partnership with Coty. She wrote, “Partnering with an established organization like Coty will be instrumental in the advancement of my brands as their global reach allows for faster expansion so people around the world are able to experience new launches first hand. This relationship will allow me to focus on the creative elements that I’m so passionate about while benefiting from the incredible resources of Coty, and launching my products around the world.”

Stay tuned to see her upcoming launches.

Celebrating in style! Kim Kardashian helped her eldest daughter, North, ring in her 7th birthday with a cowgirl-themed party.

“North’s 7th Birthday Wyoming Style,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 39, captioned a Monday, June 29, Instagram slideshow.

In the social media upload, the little one rode horses with her mom, took a walk with her friends and blew out the candles on her purple cake.

The reality star went on to post party pictures on her Instagram Story, writing, “[This is] North’s Freesian horse. We have 14 gorgeous black Freesians on the ranch … [and] a go-kart track on the ranch.”

Kardashian and her husband Kanye West’s ranch residence is in Cody, Wyoming. Monster Lake Ranch is 1,442 acres of land with eight lodging units.

A source exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2019 that the couple, who also share Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 13 months, will “continue to be based in Calabasas, California, where the kids will go to school.”

The insider added at the time: “They [also] have bought a house in Chicago, where they will spend a lot of time. It’s extremely important to Kim that the children know where their father came from and to spend as much time there as possible.”

Kardashian penned a sweet message to North via Instagram on her daughter’s June 15 birthday. “Happy Birthday my sweet girl!” the makeup mogul captioned a slideshow. “The last 6 years have been the best of my life raising you and seeing you grow up. Mommy loves you forever and beyond!”

You are so kind and loving to everyone you know and have a beautiful heart and soul…I love you so much precious North and it is a pleasure and a privilege to be your Grandmother. I love you Lovey.”
